A famous attraction in Cork is Blarney Castle, one of Ireland's oldest and most historic castles, and home to the infamous Blarney Stone. Legend has it that anyone who kisses the famous stone high up on the castle will be endowed with the "gift of persuasion and flattery." But be warned, to kiss the stone you will have to lie on your back, bend backwards and turn upside down. Cork is also famous for being the last stop of the Titanic before its fateful journey in 1912.
